As the first month of 2025 comes to a close, it only feels right to create a bucket list for all of the things I want to do as Meet Me In Maryland this year! From charming coastal towns to thrilling outdoor adventures and historic landmarks, this state is bursting with things to see and do. Whether you’re a local looking for fresh ideas or a visitor eager to experience the best of Maryland, this bucket list is packed with unforgettable experiences and some unique spots! Ready to explore? Let’s dive into my 2025 Maryland Bucket List!

2025 MD Bucket List

Attend Christmas in St. Michaels– This one weekend in December event has been on my list for a few years, but I am determined to go for the full weekend this year! From the Tour of the Homes to the Gingerbread House competition, this is a must-do Christmas event! Check out their website for more info https://christmasinstmichaels.org/

Visit Cove Point Lighthouse (Bonus: Stay in the Lighthouse Keeper’s House!)– Cove Point Lighthouse is located in Lusby and is somewhere that I would love to take a day trip to! The view from the lighthouse is stunning! I would love to add Cove Point to my lighthouse passport this year. The Lighthouse Keeper’s house is available on airbnb. https://www.calvertmarinemuseum.com/200/Cove-Point-Lighthouse

Weekend Trip to Deep Creek Lake– It has been a few years since I have been to Deep Creek and would love to make it back this year for a weekend trip!

Old Westminster Winery– The pictures that I have seen of this winery are beautiful and their food looks amazing! They have plenty of options such as coffee drinks for those not into wine. https://www.oldwestminster.com/

Visit Smith Island– I absolutely LOVE Smith Island Cake and need to try a slice actually on Smith Island! There are ferries that you can take from Crisfield and Point Lookout, MD! https://smithislandcruises.com/

Try All of the MD Pizzas Reviewed by Dave Portnoy (except for Wawa haha)– I have already tried TinyBrickOven and Frank’s, but would love to hit the rest of the spots that stoolpresidente tried!

Polar Express Train Ride in Cumberland, MD– This is another experience that has been on my list for a while! I mean, who doesn’t want to experience a Polar Express themed train ride? https://wmsr.com/the-polar-express-train-ride

Assateague Island Day Trip– I have not been to Assateague in years and need to go back! This is a great alternative to Ocean City if you are looking for a more peaceful beach day!

Orioles Opening Day– I love me some Orioles baseball and am eagerly awaiting Opening Day! Who else thinks it should be a national holiday?

Take a Class at Clay Coven Pottery Studio– Every time I pass this pottery studio in Savage Mill, I think about how cool it would be to take a class there! The vibes look so peaceful and it would be so cool to learn how to use a pottery wheel! https://www.claycovenpottery.com/

Try More Local Coffee Shops– I love a good coffee shop and would love to experience some more local ones in 2025! Let me know your suggestions!

Hagerstown Day Trip– I get a lot of suggestions on my videos for things to do in Hagerstown so I want to get there and try all of them! Number one on the list is definitely Krumpe’s Do-Nuts!

Calvert Cliffs State Park– The pictures that I have seen of Calvert Cliffs are gorgeous and I would love to go check it out! https://dnr.maryland.gov/publiclands/pages/southern/calvertcliffs.aspx

George Peabody Library– If you have never seen pictures of this library, you need to look it up! This library is located in Mt. Vernon in Baltimore and will probably be the most stunning library you have ever seen! https://www.library.jhu.edu/library-hours/george-peabody-library/

Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse Tour– I have been to the Maritime Museum a few times and never knew that there was a tour you can take to the Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse! You take a boat from the museum to the lighthouse and actually get to go inside! So neat! https://uslhs.org/travel/cruises/thomas-point-shoal-lighthouse/tours

Sailboat Ride in St. Michaels– This to me sounds like an absolute dream! The Sail Selina II has many different options for sailboat cruises including a sunset sail and a moonlight cruise! Sign me up! https://sailselina.com/

Picnic at Turkey Point Lighthouse– I absolutely love the Lighthouse Trail at Elk Neck State Park in North East! I think that it would be a total game changer to bring a picnic to the area where the lighthouse is and relax up there! If you have never been, I highly recommend it! https://dnr.maryland.gov/publiclands/Pages/central/ElkNeck/Turkey-Point-Lighthouse.aspx
